Throwback Thursdays : Shoulder Pads

Oh the 80s so very famous for their very interesting fashion choices...one of them was the infamous shoulder pads.

Shoulder pads are very needed but the shoulder pads back in the 80s got a bit extreme. They were popular because they represented that women had power. And this makes sense but I'm sure many of the women from those times look back into the past and think "what were we thinking?"

Today in modern day we still have some sort of shoulder pads or emphasized shoulders which I like. They look very fun, original and not disastrous.

I especially like when blazers have a fun type of emphasis on the shoulder because that also represents power.

I truly hope that this style just does not make a return any time soon...our twist on it does make it better but not perfect.
